Other than expected previously, the Bollywood Oscars 2006 will not be held in Amsterdam.
After the IIFA Awards 2005 were held in Amsterdam, it was announced that most likely the event was to be repeated in Amsterdam in the next year.
However, the city of Amsterdam does not want to pay for the losses of the organization again. In 2005 Amsterdam Partners could not get enough sponsors for the event. This probably was caused by the fact that only just a few months before the event it became certain it would be held in Amsterdam.
