Heineken introduces new beer glasses

Fifteen thousand pubs in the Netherlands, serving beer of Heineken, Amstel or Brand, will get new beer glasses.

Dutch cafes will get the new Heineken glass (the Galaxy) as the first in the world.
The glasses have led to controversy, because the new glasses are slightly bigger - pub owners are however afraid to raise the price at this moment. After the introduction of the Euro currency in 2002 there have been many complaints about price increases.
Therefore, probably most people will get more beer - for the same price.

According to Heineken, there is general demand for bigger glasses, and the new glasses are less fragile and easier to fill.
