The Friday Night Skate is a tradition that has existed since 1997. Every Friday evening, at 8.30 pm, a group of skaters leaves from the same spot in the Vondelpark (the former Filmmuseum, see location on the map on this page), for a skate ride.
Anyone can join, participation is free. On the website (under 'Links') is info on where you can rent skates if you didn't bring them yourself.
The route is different each time.
