Diamond Museum Amsterdam opened

Amsterdam has a new museum: the Diamond Museum.

The new museum is located at Museumplein, between the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.

The museum aims to get 50,000 to 100,000 a year. The museum will give information about diamonds, the diamond industry, the processing and cutting of diamonds and famous diamond robberies.

Also, there will be real diamonds on display and some replicas of crown jewels.

The official opening will be in March 2007.

The opening hours are 9-5, 7 days a week, and the entrance fee is E 6.-
