De Kas ('the Greenhouse') was set up by top chef Gert Jan Hageman in 2001. It is known for its good quality food, that is made of what has been freshly harvested that day.
De Kas has its own greenhouses and garden near the restaurant, where it grows Mediterranean vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. It also has a large field about 10 kilometres from Amsterdam in the Beemster region, where they grow seasonable vegetables outdoors.
It is located in the Frankendael Park.
De Kas serves only one menu.
