Central Station Amsterdam open again, trains back to normal service

The Central Station in Amsterdam is open again. Tickets bought for yesterday can be used today.

The situation on the roads is also back to normal.

A total of 6 deaths have been attributed to the storm, all outside Amsterdam, and mainly because of traffic accidents and falling trees.

About 500 persons spent the night in the RAI Congress Centre, on beds provided by the Red Cross. Throughout the country, some 5,000 people had to spend the night in emergency accommodations.
