Amsterdam public transport strikes on April 7

Tomorrow, Thursday April 7, the Amsterdam public transport will be on strike.

The transport workers will only strike between the morning rush and the evening rush (10am to 2pm).
During that period there will be no trams, buses or metros in Amsterdam.

The strike is restricted to the public transport that is run by the city's GVB. Trains (e.g. to and from the airport) are not affected.

The reason for the strike is the privatization that is planned by the current government. GVB is still government owned, the workers are civil servants.
