A test has shown that the outdoor cafes on the squares Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein are the most expensive in the Netherlands.
Two beers, two wines and two cola cost E 14.48 on the 2 famous squares, whereas in the town of Eindhoven the same beverages cost E 11.08.
The prices in Amsterdam have gone up 7 percent in 1 year.
The test was done in the 21 most touristic cities of the Netherlands. The most expensive are Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Haarlem, the cheapest are Eindhoven, Dordrecht and Enschede.
