The Fatih Mosque in Amsterdam participates in the Open Ateliers Jordaan, an event in which about 70 ateliers will be open this weekend in the famous Jordaan area.
One of the location where art can be admired, is the Fatih Mosque (address: Rozengracht 150, map).
It is the first mosque in the Netherlands that opens its door for an art exhibition.
The mosque is located in a former Catholic church, which in turn was built on the location where there used to be a Jezuite hiding church.
The building is an official city monument.
The Open Ateliers Jordaan is all weekend, this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Central Exhibition of the Open Ateliers Jordaan is at the address 1e Rozendwarsstraat 10.
More info (map) is on the website http://www.openateliersjordaan.nl/jordaan/indexmap.html (unfortunately only in Dutch).
