Contrary to a trend in the rest of the Netherlands, real estate prices in Amsterdam have gone up more than 7% in the last quarter of 2007.
Apartments in Amsterdam even went up 8% in price. Over entire 2007, real estate prices rose more than 14%, the highest percentage in the Netherlands.
In the Netherlands as a whole, house prices rose only 1.2% in the last quarter, and 4.3% in entire 2007.
It is not clear what caused the difference in price development.
