More than 11 million people in the Netherlands watched (part of) of the soccer match between Holland and France.
The match ended in a 4-1 victory for Holland, leading again to massive street partying throughout the country. In Amsterdam, the party mostly concentrated on Leidseplein square.
Leidseplein is traditionally the square where soccer victories are celebrated, and winning teams cheered.
The Amsterdam police reported no serious problems.
Many watched the match on tv screens in cafes, or outside.
The next European Championship match for the Dutch team is on Tuesday, June 17, 8.45pm.
After 2 victories, the Dutch team is already certain of a place in the quarter finals, so the outcome of the match against Rumania is not relevant.
